Weekend Rewind

What a hot busy weekend!!! Friday night we discovered our air conditioner wasn't working right, of course right before M needed to leave for baseball, so as you can imagine, he was late! Luckily it cooled down overnight, so it wasn't a big deal shutting it off for the night. But I did put this little lady in a little night gown just in case she got too warm!

But she woke up a happy camper, so she was just fine!!

Saturday morning consisted of morning chores... Noah prefers to do his with his "delivery dump truck" when putting away his laundry! We got the floors cleaned, laundry put on and folded.

We all got dressed for some more fun outside and this little turkey fought napping ALL day!

After nap, M was home, so we all headed outside to work on opening the pool! We had a little snack outside and did a little splashing:

We also had a little dance party and then the boys headed in to pick up pizza for dinner because it was just too hot to cook anything.

Overall it was a fun, yet busy day!

Sunday morning we all slept in again! Our morning started off with housework and of course I came up with the great idea to smoke some ribs. I always forget how long the process is for smoking, but gave M enough notice, so the boys got the smoker all ready to go.

Emilya and I had a little down time before M's cousin came over to meet Emilya. We had a nice visit, despite Noah being a grumpy sock!

That afternoon it was super hot, so instead of working outside on the garden as planned, M works on unpacking boxes in the basement to keep cool for a bit while Noah napped and once I it Emilya down, I decided to take a nap too!!

We all woke up happy!!

We had somemore visitors when I woke up, M's friend J along with his daughter and dog. They ended up leaving just before dinner.

Our ribs and coleslaw salad was delicious!! After supper we went back outside for a bit, we worked on getting the pool vacuumed and treated. M installed a new jet for the pool so our solar heater will work more efficiently.

Then it was time to get the kids ready for bed! I took in this little one, while M had Noah. They both ended up ready around the same time!

Emilya was sporting her leopard print jammies, which I love!! Haha

I quickly ran outside to put my cushions inside as a storm was blowing in fast! I made it inside just in time!!

Then I snuck upstairs to snap a photo of the little man, since I realized I almost forgot!! Here the boys are reading Noah's favorite book - Dig Dogs Dig!

After I finished feeding Emilya, I headed into town to Walmart to do a few exchanges and picked up a few new sleepers for E, since she is too long for some of her 3 month ones now!

Today we have the air conditioner repair man coming and our storage bin is leaving our driveway today!!

Weekend Rewind on Wednesday

Oh I am so far behind on this little blog of mine!! It's crazy!!

Friday night - M didn't end up playing ball, which was a nice treat to have him home  - not that we did much, but it wasn't a crazy rush to get the kids in bed. M's Dad popped over for ice cream and played with Noah outside for a bit.

Saturday - M was working. My girlfriend popped over to meet Emilya in the morning.

Noah wasn't in the best of moods, so that was fun.... Poor guy is just soo irritable with one of his 2 year molars coming in.

When M did get home, we worked on organizing the cold cellar, so we had a place to put the stuff in the boxes!

We went out for dinner with my Dad and Cindy just to the pub here in the village. Emilya slept the whole time and Noah was very well behaved especially considering the crummy service we had and the good wasn't all that great either!!! He did love getting a squirt gun though and had lots of fun spraying us all while we finished up at the restaurant and then when we got back home and visited for a bit. Noah was up well past his bedtime again. To make matters worse, we had someone putting off fire works here in the village and instead of doing them quickly, they let them off one every 5/10,
sometimes 20 minute intervals over a 2 hour span. For the first time ever, Noah was not a fan and would scream each time. So he finally went to sleep by 11 and Emilya stayed up late too. Every fire work we heard we cringed... We are getting soo old!! Emilya decided she wanted to stay awake from 2-4. I got up to pump and took over getting her back to sleep and left M asleep on the couch!

The good news is, thier late nights paid off and the whole family had a sleep in!! We all woke up in great moods and off to work we went on unpacking boxes in the basement, vacuuming, laundry, playing, etc. The morning zoomed right on by!

When Noah went down for his nap, we emptied the rest of the stuff out of the bin, with hopes of getting this bin out of our driveway this week. We didn't quite get the rest of the boxes put away,  it the bin is empty and that was technically our goal! Noah had a super long nap (3 hours and we woke him up). Mike was waiting to take him to go get the backhoe as he promised him, while waiting he managed to get the lawn cut and weeded somemore of the garden. After waking him up, they headed straight to the farm and he was soo happy!!

M had a few trips of yard waste to take over to the depot and then ended up helping the neighbour strip some sod and removed a tree stump for another neighbour. It was about that time when I called them both in for tacos.

Monday was a holiday, however M works this long weekend. So the kiddos and I hung outside most of the day, as it was gorgeous! I got out the water table, which is a big hit this year!!

Emilya was loving the weather too!!

When M got home, I had him drain off the pool cover which was mosquito haven! Noah had a blast jumping in muddy puddles!!

Apparently Noah had lots of fun because he slept in until 8 AM!! Emilya slept all night as well!! We made our first solo trip to Walmart with 2 kids... And it was great! We bought a shade tent for outside!

Then we spent an hour in the field with Daddy!! Noah was thrilled!!

Friday Things

Well this week zoomed right on by again!!!

We finally found a reason for why Noah has been short on patience and therefor having more tantrums this week - not to mention him going to bed, whether for naptime or bedtime, has been disastrous. He is getting one of his 2 year molars!!

Emilya and I had our 6 week check up and we were both given a clean bill of health!

We do not have any big plans this weekend, aside from Mike working and we want to get the storage bin emptied!

Last night I went to my first "book club" a bunch of moms in the village have put together. We can either read the book or watch the movie! Our first book was The Perks of a Wallflower and in my opinion the movie was nothing great! I didn't find the characters relatable at all and was not a fan of flashbacks! Probably didn't help that I "watched" it with a toddler running around! So we discussed the book for a bit and then enjoyed each other's company! It was a good turn out with 12 of us there!

We had dinner at the farm last night and Noah sure was happy to spend time with Grandpa, his favorite part of his day yesterday was playing soccer with Grandpa!

Grandpa also showed Noah some killdeer eggs in the barnyard, which Noah was pretty impressed by!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! It's supposed to be gorgeous here, so hopefully we find some time outside!!
